Hollywood, CA – Appalling. Disgusting. Horrifying. These are just some of the words that were used when the American public was reminded that real estate tycoon / reality TV star / presidential candidate Donald Trump has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The reminder came this past weekend when it was found that either a Trump opponent or supporter has spray-painted a large swastika over the candidates star. The discovery was shocking to many citizens, who were unaware that someone had to do so little to gain a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to begin with.
“Really? A Hollywood star?” exclaimed The Walk’s local Chaplin impersonator, Margaret Beecham. “Was that line, ‘You’re fired!’ really that good of an acting job for a multi-billionaire to become a Hollywood star?”
Donald Trump’s star was originally installed on The Walk in 2007 in the vicinity of Victoria’s Secret, across the street from a Hooter’s restaurant. With the recent vandalization, it is believed the star will be moved to ensure its protection. Potential landing spots include under a public garbage receptacle or a potential end point of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, like under the Hollywood Freeway.
Like so many other things, the oozing of Trump onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame had lead to a barring of reality television stars from gaining a star of their own. At this time, Snooki, Paris Hilton, and The Situation will be unable to receive a star on the Walk of Fame unless they star in a blockbuster movie, which is believed to happen sometime between hell freezing over and never.
