Miami, FL: The conclusion of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami was business as usual when a man wearing a giant, bright pink cartoon mouse helmet accused the now literal “Material Girl” Madonna of being a bad role model by referencing the drug ecstasy.
The reference in question came when Madonna addressed the attendees of the Ultra Music Festival, asking the crowd, “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?” in an introduction for Swedish DJ Avicii. Molly, for those in the know, including grown men with mouse helmets, is a reference to the drug ecstasy, an artificial mood-altering substance prevalent in the dance scene.
After hearing of Madonna’s introduction, the mouse-headed young man proceeded to rip Madonna apart on Twitter and other social media sites. He did, however, refer to how crazy such anti-drug reference statements may look coming from a skinny white guy wearing a pink mouse head the size of the rest of his body.

“I have my vices and some of them are probably more harmful than a recreational drug or two,” the mouse helmet stated. “I smoke cigarettes … I drink a little bit too, which I’m sure has killed more people than double the combined amount of overdoses on any recreational drug you can name…. so, I try to make an effort as not to blatantly condone it in situations where the youngins are around. And trust me, the mau5 horde has plenty of little ones… So, I don’t see the dire need to be a constant dickfuck and stamp my vices all over my media outlets.”
After the statement, many journalists rushed to the bathrooms and induced vomiting, believing that the talking mouse-head in front of them was brought on by their coffee being spiked with a hallucinogen.
Apparently, the mouse-faced young man was Canada’s own Joel Zimmerman, electronica producer and the mouse behind Deadmau5. Upon this clarification, Madonna quickly went into cougar-mode, writing to @Deadmau5, You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up “privately.” 😉 See you on the road.
Deadmau5′ response is unknown.
