Los Angeles, CA: In an effort to display his knowledge of the industry in which his news station reports to, KTLA reporter Sam Rubin, who mistook Samuel L. Jackson for Laurence Fishburne yesterday, allegedly plans to honor the actor with a 15-minute news segment highlighting his finest work in cinema. It has been confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson will be the actor honored, not Laurence Fishburne.

“Sam prides himself on being a professional,” stated publicist Mark Markenson. “Ratings won’t be the issue, since everyone will be tuning in to see him fuck up again, but he wants to both apologize to Mr. Jackson, and show the world that he’s not a stupid white bigot, as the public has portrayed him. This film tribute should succeed in that goal.”

Some of Samuel L. Jackson’s roles that will be featured are: Nick Fury in multiple MARVEL action movies; Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction; Apollo Creed in the Rocky series; Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland; Nelson Mandela in Invictus; Othello in Othello; and MC Gusto in CB4.

“This tribute will serve to show not only that Sam doesn’t think all famous black people look alike, but also some of the finest moments in Samuel L. Jackson’s career,” explained Markenson. “I can only hope that his starring role beside Method Man in How High will be mentioned.”

There is no confirmation that Samuel L. Jackson will be present in the studio during the tribute.
