New York, NY: The A-Rod Show lived to annoy baseball fans for another few months as Alex Rodriguez responded to his definitive 162-game suspension from baseball due to arbitration between him and Major League Baseball was completed.
Following the ruling passed down from arbitrator Fredric Horowitz, A-Rods lawyers filed a suit against Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association, alleging that Horowitz’s ruling was biased, MLB collectively sought the suspension without just cause, and the MLBPA neglected to protect A-Rod’s union rights.
Now it is likely that the lawsuits will continue, as A-Rod’s lawyers plan to name countless other defendants in the suit, alleging that the entire world was biased against Alex Rodriguez.
Some of the more public figures include:
- Anthony Bosch, for supplying Alex Rodriguez with the performance-enhancing drugs that he has been suspended for.
- The estates of notable anabolic steroid inventors, including Adolf Butenandt, Karoly Gyula David, E. Dingemanse, J. Freud, Ernst Laqueur, and Dr. John Ziegler, for helping develop the drugs, leading to their use.
- The New York Yankees, who caused physical and mental stress when they supplied Alex Rodriguez with a 10-year, $275 million contract.
- Derek Jeter, for being such a kiss-ass.
The main focus of the lawsuits seems to be to keep Alex Rodriguez in the spotlight, as well as over-turn the 162-game suspension.
*Update: The Inept Owl has now been named in the lawsuit due to “being jerks” in their news coverage of Alex Rodriguez.
