A lot can be said about NASA’s latest Mars landing:

1) Curiosity is having an exciting ride, at least, as much excitement as a robotic vehicle that missed the cut for BattleBots.

2) This is the most important space exploration landing…since Phoenix in 2008.

3) NASA controllers for Curiosity and the rover that landed in 2004, Opportunity, have yet to drag-race their rovers across Mars.

Unfortunately, most of these references may be lost on the rest of the world. Since this latest Mars landing coincided so closely with the remake of Total Recall, it is believed this may have been the reaction of many news readers.
